I am no stranger to what higher octane means, but also what ethanol can do to our carbed bikes.
When I asked the engine builder he stayed that I should run leaded 100 octane.   Ok I get the octane rating to reduce the chance of spark knock and with leaded that makes it even easier to do just that.   Here is the rub if you will.   This is a budget build and it honestly raised more question than gave answers.

for some background I am putting together a fast by Ferraci 2000 Husqvarna CR125 replica including the CDI they used with aggressive ignition maps.   I want to get as close to what is recommended and also something like hey might have run before the fuel rule in the ama.
Looking for suggestions because there are literally too many options here and I haven’t ran anything really high octane since Sunoco 94 was at the pump.

Has anyone ran the Sunoco surge?   Seems to check all the boxes.
